Privacy Policy — Notivault

Last updated: 29 August 2026

Notivault ("the app") is developed by Recreation Technologies Team ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with your information — what stays on your device, and the limited data the third-party services we use collect.

The short version

1. Data stored only on your device (never transmitted)

To do its job, the app uses Android's Notification Access permission (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE). While granted, it reads the notifications posted on your device and stores, in app-private storage only:

This data is never transmitted anywhere. It is excluded from cloud backup (android:allowBackup="false"). If you use Export, a copy is written only to the location you choose through the system file picker; after that the file is yours.

2. Data collected by the services we use

Google AdMob (advertising)

To show ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and processes: your device's advertising ID, IP address, general device information (model, OS version, language), and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks). In the EEA/UK you are shown a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before personalised ads or analytics; you can choose non-personalised ads. See Google's How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites) and the AdMob data disclosure.

Firebase Analytics (product analytics)

Collects anonymous, aggregated usage events — for example: app opened, a search was used, the Pro screen was viewed, an export started. It also collects an app-instance ID, the advertising ID, device/OS information, and coarse location inferred from IP (country/region). We never send notification content, message text, OTP codes, or the list of apps you receive notifications from.

Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)

When the app crashes it sends a stack trace, the device state at the time (model, OS, memory, app version), and a Crashlytics installation identifier, so we can fix the bug. Stack traces are code paths — they contain no notification content. A copy of the same technical log is also written to your device and can be viewed/exported from Settings ▸ About.

Google Play Billing (Notivault Pro)

If you subscribe to Pro, Google Play processes the payment. We receive an anonymised purchase token confirming the entitlement — never your card number or billing address.

Google Play (in-app updates)

The app asks Google Play whether an update is available and can prompt you to install it.

3. How third parties use this data

AdMob, Firebase, and Google Play are operated by Google. Their processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and, for Firebase, the Firebase data-processing terms. Data these services collect may be retained per Google's retention schedules. We use it only to run ads, understand product usage in aggregate, and diagnose crashes.

4. Your choices

5. Data retention and deletion

6. Children

Notivault is intended for general audiences aged 18+. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date and noted in the app's release notes.
